Union of Iranian Law Student Scientific Associations

According to the brief introduction presented by the “Union of Scientific and Academic Societies of Iran”, it should be stated about the “Union of Scientific and Academic Societies of Iran” that after the approval of the statutes with the presence of the majority, on March 23, 1401, with the presence of representatives of 26 scientific societies of law from universities It was established all over the country. This union currently consists of more than 65 scientific associations of law, public law, private law, criminal law and criminology, international law, and intellectual property law. The said national-student body has a central council consisting of 7 main members and a main inspector whose members are elected by the general assembly of the union in the annual general assembly to lead the union for one year. The said union has six regions of the country (Tehran, South, North, East, West, Center) and the secretaries of the associations of each region choose the “Regional Secretary” from among the secretaries of the same region. It is worth mentioning that these officials are trying to bring the associations in the region closer to each other. The Union of Scientific and Legal Student Associations of Iran is the owner of the specialized scientific journal Dadmehar, two issues of which have been published. The secretariat of the union in the first period is located in the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Allameh Tabatabai University.

Guild approach

Trying to follow up and reduce the problems of the member associations through communication with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, helping to structure the associations and transferring the experiences of student scientific activists is on the agenda.

Scientific approach

The union, as a “big scientific association”, can organize events of special quality in the country, which can be effective in realizing “educational justice”.

Communication approach

This institution is trying to establish a coherent and effective communication between the member associations; Because this connection has many benefits such as exchange of ideas, access to a wider audience and benefit from numerous speakers and professors; All these things are aimed at improving the quality and quantity of programs of associations.

Student approach

On the one hand, preserving the nature of students and creating a “we” among all law students of the country, and on the other hand, trying to develop the organizational skills of students, is one of the desirable goals in this axis and deserves special attention. “Preserving the nature of students” means that students should have a fundamental role in terms of executive and intellectual and should be considered the main audience of the union.
